Babe in a basket hat


Here is the hat pattern to go along with the Babe in a Basket sleep sack.

H hook

1 1/2 oz bernat softee baby denim marl (or any sport weight/baby yarn)

This should fit a newborn to 3 month size. Feel free to change the hook size to get a smaller or larger hat.

!!!! ch 1 does not count as a stitch, this is to ensure there is no gap !!!!

ch 4, join to form a ring


RD 1: ch 1, 12 dc in ring, join to first dc (12 dc)

RD 2: ch 1, 2dc in each dc around, join to first dc (24 dc)

RD 3: ch 1, dc in 1st dc, 2dc in next dc, *1 dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc* repeat * around, join to 1st dc (36 dc)

RD 4: ch 1, 1 dc in 1st 2 dc, 2dc in next dc, *1dc in each of next 2 dc, 2dc in next dc* rep * around, join to 1st dc (48 dc)

RD 5: ch 1, dc in each dc around (48 dc)

RD 6: ch 1, FPDC in same st and in next 2 dc, BPDC in next 3 dcs, *FPDC in next 3 dcs, BPDC in next 3 dcs* rep * around, join to first dc.

RD 7: ch 1, BPDC in same st and in next 2 dc, FPDC in next 3 dcs, *BPDC in next 3 dc, FPDC in next 3 dc* rep * around join to first dc.

RDS 8-12: rep rounds 6 & 7.

RD 13: ch 1, sc in same st and in each st around, finish off. (48 sc)

Why I can't get any work done.
